Philip Seymour Hoffman, currently seen lording over Paul Thomas Anderson’s THE MASTER, is in the process of lining up his second directorial effort, a Depression-era ghost story called EZEKIEL MOSS.

The screenplay, by Keith Bunin, a widow and her son who are visited by a strange man who may have the ability to communicate with the dead.

Mandalay Pictures is producing MOSS; it’s unclear at the moment if Hoffman plans to star as well as helm. No cast has been announced as of yet.

Hoffman, who previously directed the indie effort JACK GOES BOATING, is currently shooting THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE (with Jennifer Lawrence, pictured below).
