Poster for Wolves starring Jason Momoa and Lucas Till unleashes the beast

I had honestly forgotten all about WOLVES, the David Hayter-directed lycanthrope thriller that debuted some footage at San Diego Comic-Con last year. What I saw from it was largely unimpressive; it resembled a run-of-the-mill TWILIGHT meets “Teen Wolf” hybrid, with the only notable thing about it being it co-stars uber-badass Jason Momoa. Of course, one shouldn’t judge a product until they’ve seen it in full, but my interest in this project has been zilch since that day.

WOLVES has just upchucked a new poster, courtesy of Collider, that is just as generic as the footage I glimpsed. They don’t even tout the Momoa factor, opting instead for his werewolf form. Odd decision.

Popular high school student Cayden Richards wakes from a horrific nightmare, only to realize that he’s living it… He is changing into something vicious, unpredictable and wild. Forced to hit the road after the brutal murder of his parents, Cayden tries to hunt down the truth of what he is. In the remote, mountain town of Lupine Ridge, he discovers others like him — Including the beautiful Angelina, a young woman caught between two ancient clans of “wolves”. And when he finally discovers the shocking truth behind his ancestry, Cayden realizes there is only one way to save the woman he loves… A grisly fight to the death, against forces more savage than he could have ever imagined.

Apparently, this hairy monster is coming out on November 14th “in theaters,” although just how many theaters remains to be seen.
