Next Alien film to focus more on A.I. & David than Aliens

I think it's safe to say director Ridley Scott's ALIEN: COVENANT was a misfire in most directions. But one thing that cannot be argued (by the sane at least) is how amazing Michael Fassbender was as both David and Walter.

Fittingly then it seems that the next planned film set within the world of ALIEN and PROMETHEUS will turn the focus of the saga from those pesky xenomorphs and instead spend more time on the universe's A.I. - meaning Michael Fassbender and other such synthetics.

Director Ridley Scott himself dropped this news during a recent interview with The Empire Film Podcast.

Ridley Scott on the next ALIEN film:

I think the evolution of the Alien himself is nearly over, but what I was trying to do was transcend and move to another story, which would be taken over by A.I.’s. The world that the AI might create as a leader if he finds himself onto a new planet. We have actually quite a big layout for the next one.

Sounds good to me! Give us a full planet of Fassbenders and we'll leave the theaters happy. Let us know if you agree by hitting us up in the comments below or on Facebook, Twitter, and/or Instagram!

ALIEN: COVENANT is now available on Blu-ray/DVD & Digital HD. Buy it HERE.

Extra Tidbit: I'm not, you know, like, whatever, or whatever, but I cheered like it was the f*cking Olympics when David kissed Walter in Covenant.
