Looks like Dexy has yet another to outsmart…

EW has it that “Heroes” alum Santiago Cabrera (seen right) has been cast in season 7 of Showtime’s hit series “Dexter.” Word is he’ll play a recurring role as Ethan Price, an investigative writer behind true crime books about notable murder cases.

As we know, this is the penultimate season of the show before Showtime calls it quits after season 8. I wonder how instrumental, if at all, this Ethan Price character will prove to be in the downfall of the titular murderer. Come to think of it, how should the series end? Will Dexter get served his comeuppance or will he continue on unprosecuted? Will be interesting.

Also starring Michael C. Hall, Jennifer Carpenter, Desmond Harrington, James Remar, David Zayas, C.S. Lee, Ray Stevenson, Katia Winter, Matt Gerald, Lauren Velez, Yvonne Strahovski (below), Jason Gedrick and Calista Flockhart – “Dexter” returns to the small screen September 30th.
