Not horror per se, but did you see that movie PROJECT X? Did you dig it?
Well the same company, Silver Pictures (yes, Joel Silver), is lining up a new film of technical similarity – a micro-budget found footage template – this time going the horror/thriller route with HOME INVASION. Pretty self-explicative, no?
From the pen of Joseph Dembner, HOME INVASION is about a dysfunctional family that falls victim to mysterious and sinister home intruders.
A lot of wiggle room there, and as always, will probably depend on execution. Will it be THE STRANGERS (as the film is said to be inspired by) or TRESPASS? Somewhere halfway perhaps…
Joel Silver, Andrew Rona and Alex Heineman are producing for Silver, with internal development slated. No director or cast members have been announced.
