Teaser trailer for Nina Forever starring Abigail Hardingham

NINA FOREVER, a story written and directed by Chris Blaine and Ben Blaine, will have its World Premiere at the SXSW Film Festival on March 14th, and we now have its first teaser trailer to share, and what a teaser it is. Knowing what this film is about—every time Rob and Holly make love, Rob's dead ex-girlfriend appears tangled and bloody—makes the beginning of this trailer so much better, otherwise, I hope you enjoy ominous gooey sound effects! It's certainly a nutty concept, one that the Blaine Brothers appear to have really latched onto, so hopefully we hear good things out of SXSW later this month.

NINA FOREVER is being described as a darkly comedic romantic horror film, reminiscent of intelligent, multi-layered genre films like LET THE RIGHT ONE IN and THE BABADOOK. It follows…

…Holly, as she begins a relationship with her co-worker Rob, who is grieving over the recent death of his girlfriend Nina. Holly has fallen for Rob and is determined to help him though his grief. Yet every time they make love, Nina appears; tangled, bloody and still fixated on Rob. Holly doesn't freak out and run—she can deal with the dead girl sharing their bed, their lives, their minds. If it's what Rob needs, it's what she'll do, regardless of what the consequences may be.
