The Soska Sisters Rabid remake starts shooting in 2018

The last word we heard about the Soska Sisters' upcoming remake of David Cronenberg's RABID was when we let you guys know that the sisters were currently looking into casting.

Today we have news out of AFM that the remake will shoot in early 2018.

A71 Entertainment has taken the Canadian rights to the Soska sisters' remake and will start production in early 2018. Michael Walker, Paul Lalonde and John Vidette of Back 40 Pictures are producing.

The Soska sisters on RABID:

It's a tremendous honor to be re-imagining Rabid. Ten years into his career, David re-imagined The Fly and it was perhaps his most successful film. Now ten years into our directing careers, we take on his 1977 classic.

RABID remake synopsis:
