Trailer arrives for Bonejangles, starring Phantasm’s Reggie Bannister

I hadn't heard of the slasher/zombie movie BONEJANGLES before its trailer appeared online over the weekend, but now it's on my radar in a major way.

Directed by Brett DeJager from a screenplay by Keith Melcher and starring Reggie Bannister, Elissa Dowling, Kelly Misek Jr., Julia Cavanaugh, Devin Toft, Jamie Scott Gordon, Lawrence Wayne Curry, and Hannah Richter, BONEJANGLES tells the following story:

To safely deliver an unstoppable killer, a rag-tag group of police officers must first survive a hellish pit stop: a cursed town where the dead rise from their graves.

This "campy humored horror flick" is the filmmakers' tribute to the classic horror movies of the 1980s, and the '80s influence is made clear in the trailer with the image quality, music, and narration. As I'm someone who has a deep nostalgia for the 1980s, this trailer presses all the right buttons for me. I think BONEJANGLES looks totally awesome.

Release details for the film are still being worked out, but it will be making its red carpet premiere at the Verne Drive-In in Luverne, Minnesota on Halloween night, in a double feature with THE GOONIES.
