Trailer: Eastwood, Manning, and Franco dare to open The Vault

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Originally announced back in 2014 under the title THE TRUST, director Dan Bush's "haunted bank" story finally went into production last year and is now about to make its way out into the world as THE VAULT, starring Francesca Eastwood, Taryn Manning, James Franco, Scott Haze, and Clifton Collins Jr.

FilmRise will be releasing the film on VOD and in select theatres on September 1st, and the marketing has begun with a trailer and a poster, both of which can be seen below.

Scripted by Bush and Conal Byrne, THE VAULT tells the story of

two estranged sisters (Eastwood and Manning) who are forced to come together to rob a bank in order to save their brother (Haze), who burned down a warehouse owned by a notorious gangster. Franco plays an assistant bank manager who promises to help put the sisters back on track in return for a percentage of their take.

That synopsis completely leaves out the supernatural horror aspect of this "terrifying thriller" that has been described as "THE TOWN meets THE SIXTH SENSE". Thankfully, the trailer doesn't avoid delving into the horror of it all. It doesn't hide the fact that this is a full-on ghost story, and it looks to be quite an intense and entertaining one. I'm looking forward to checking out THE VAULT in a little over a month.
