Rutina Wesley sticking to the horror genre? Go on girl!

In August, Mark Webber won the lead role in ANGRY LITTLE GODS, Daniel Stamm’s remake of Thai-horror flick 13: GAME OF DEATH. Well, looks like the sexy Ms. Wesley (“True Blood,” shown) will be getting a ring on it…

According to Deadline, Wesley will play the fiancée to Mark Webber in ANGRY LITTLE GODS, who unbeknownst to her is playing a twisted game — a make-or-break competition that could make him his fortune or cost him his life.

More specifically, Webber is an engaged man who is desperate to solve his financial problems prior to his wedding. He receives a mysterious phone call informing him that he’s on a hidden camera gameshow where he can win over $6 million if he executes 13 tasks. He accepts the challenge, but even with thousands of dollars suddenly appearing in his bank account, he quickly realizes he’s in over his head. Trapped into the horrors manipulated by unseen spectators, his need to finish the game escalates as the tasks grow more extreme.

David Brike co-scripted with Stamm. No other cast members have been announced, but they will soon if the flick is to drop next year. Stay posted.
