Vertical Entertainment nabs rights to Mindscape and Torment

Some distribution news on two anticipated genre pics has some in with Vertical Entertainment taking U.S. rights to the holiday-in-hell horror flick TORMENT, starring Katharine Isabelle, and North American rights to the Jaume Collet-Serra-produced MINDSCAPE, starring Mark Strong and Taissa Farmiga.

Variety is reporting that Vertical Ent. scooped up the U.S. rights to TORMENT, which concerns...

...Cory Morgan, his wife and their 3 year old daughter Emily who decide to spend a quiet family holiday alone. When Sarah starts seeing strange things around the house, it soon becomes clear that they have some unwanted guests.  Now the family are forced to fight for their lives in what has become a festival of terror of epic proportions.

Also starring in the thriller is Robin Dunne and Stephen McHattie.

Deadline is sharing that Vertical Ent. has taken the North American rights to MINDSCAPE, which concerns...

A man with the ability to enter peoples' memories takes on the case of a brilliant, troubled sixteen-year-old girl to determine whether she is a sociopath or a victim of trauma.

Jorge Dorado directed MINDSCAPE, which stars "American Horror Story" actress Taissa Farmiga and Mark Strong.
