Interview: Tamara Smart, Siena Agudong, and Connor Gosatti Talk Resident Evil

Last weekend saw the premiere of the latest incarnation of Resident Evil (read our review). This time, the franchise takes to the small screen as an eight episode series on Netflix. For this viewer, I happened to appreciate the more current timeline in the story – although I had a good time with the entire series for the most part. One of the things that worked is the relationship between the younger siblings, Billie and Jade. Played by Tamara Smart and Siena Agudong, I was happy to see both of these talented actors shine. As well, it was nice to see a side character get the chance to stand out as well. Connor Gosatti is terrific here, while his storyline seems fairly generic in the beginning, he definitely gets to flex the emotional muscles a bit.

Last week we began featuring our interviews from the series, and that continues today. For Monday, we present our conversation with Tamara Smart, Siena Agudong, and Connor Gosatti. The three talked about getting involved in Resident Evil. For both Smart and Agudong, they opened up about having the opportunity to read the scripts early and find out what happens to the adult versions of their characters. And even Gosatti’s storyline takes an unexpected turn, and the actor opened up about having the chance to take it on. And finally, the three reveal their favorite beastie in the new series. If you haven’t already, give Resident Evil a look, as it’s currently available to stream on Netflix.
