Without a doubt, one of the biggest reveals of the weekend was the trailer for James Wan's AQUAMAN starring Jason Momoa as the film's aquatic avenger. In the trailer, fans finally got to see a detailed look at the film's underwater kingdom, Atlantis, alongside many of its royal denizens and combat-ready soldiers of the sea. We've known for some time that the movie will serve as an origin story for Arthur Curry a.k.a. Aquaman, though in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, it sounds as if Momoa might have given us a clue into how the adventure ends.

When asked about Curry's role in AQUAMAN, Momoa was quick to mention to the outlet that what we've seen of his character so far in 2017's JUSTICE LEAGUE is merely the tip of an intimidating iceberg.
"Obviously this is whole origin story. We've seen him in Justice League, which is two minutes of his whole life so we get to see where he came from," Momoa stated about the mission of AQUAMAN's first solo outting.
As their talk continued, Momoa began speaking about the natural progression of his character's rise to becoming the king of Atlantis.
"I think when he was a little boy, he had these powers and he didn't hone them in so this whole journey of him going to become the king…the last frame of this movie you're going to see him actually become the thing he was destined to be," Momoa teased to the outlet, perhaps revealing a bit more than he should have about the final act of the film, let alone the last frame. However, if I'm being honest, I don't think he's ruined much of anything. After all, Arthur has been the king of Atlantis in the comics for many years. Sure, Arthur's title changes from story-to-story, but we always come back to him being the overseer of the high seas eventually. Thus, him becoming king by the close of the film strikes me as a natural and obvious conclusion.
