Marvel moves ahead with their Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Mockingbird spin-off

This spring it was discovered that Marvel and ABC were in the process of developing an Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. spin-off series for Adrianne Palicki (Bobbi Morse a.k.a Mockingbird) and Nick Blood (Lance Hunter,) but a month later it was announced that they had passed on the series. That was that, or so we thought as Variety has now learned that the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. spin-off is back on. Stop the roller coaster, I want to get off.

The outlet reports that ABC is closing in on a deal for a pilot episode which would star Adrianne Palicki and Nick Blood titled Marvel's Most Wanted. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. producers Jeffrey Bell and Paul Zbyszewski co-created the potential series and will be writing the pilot together as well as serving as showrunners and executive producers. There aren't many plot details available at the moment other than Marvel's Most Wanted will follow the two characters and their adventures together. ABC was previously looking to launch the series with a back-door pilot in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., but it's no longer clear if that's the case.
