A group of young heroes walk a dark path in new action-packed Titans trailer

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

In anticipation of the live action TITANS series making its New York City Comic Con debut, Warner Bros. and DC Universe have unveiled a new trailer for the upcoming show that finds the team coming together for a common purpose – survival. In the new footage, TITANS omits its "Fuck Batman" one-liner and instead focuses on the relationships and chemistry of its heroes: Dick Grayson / Robin (Brenton Thwaites), Raven (Teagan Croft), Koriand'r / Starfire (Anna Diop), Beast Boy / Garfield Logan (Ryan Potter). Together with the help of Dawn Granger / Dove (Minka Kelly) and Hank Hall / Hawk (Alan Ritchson), the Titans find themselves unlocking the mysteries of their individual pasts, while defending the city against oncoming threats.

When TITANS makes its Comic Con debut on October 7th, fans in attendance will have the pleasure of watching the first episode of the series, in addition to participating in a panel that hosts the shows four primary cast members, as well as Minka Kelly, Alan Ritchson, and the series executive producers.

You can check out the official details for TITANS New York City Comic Con offerings below:

"Warner Bros. Television’s highly anticipated, live-action dramatic adventure series, Titans will be the first original series to launch on the upcoming DC UNIVERSE, the first-of-its-kind digital subscription service that gives fans access to exclusive content and experiences not available anywhere else. But before its Oct. 12 debut on the DC UNIVERSE service, Titans will serve as the kickoff event for New York Comic Con 2018, with an exclusive world premiere screening on Wednesday night, followed by a Q&A session with series stars and executive producers."

If I'm being completely honest, I've blown pretty cold on TITANS for some time … that is until this trailer dropped. At the very least, this new footage is giving me hope that there will be more to look forward to from DC Universe's maiden live action voyage than a bloated, angsty teen drama. Could it still turn out to be exactly that? Sure. However, we now see that the show will be packing plenty of action, supernatural shenanigans, and deep dives into DC Universe lore. I'm all for that, and I'm sure that lots of other fans are too.

For those of you who don't plan on going to the TITANS panel at NYCC, the first episode of the show is scheduled to premiere on DC Universe on October 12th, with a new episode making it onto the streaming service each week.
