Ben Affleck does not sound like he’ll be portraying Batman much longer

I like to play a little game here at JoBlo, where every time that Ben Affleck waffles harder than Bisquick as to whether or not he'll continue to be the Batman for DC Entertainment's cinematic universe, we do a shot. So quick, go and grab your libation of choice and come back. Don't worry, I'll wait. You good? Annnnd … go!

Recently, while participating in an interview with ExtraTV for JUSTICE LEAGUE, Ben Affleck appeared quite indifferent about whether or not he'll suit up as the Dark Knight for any future DC endeavors. You can see the interview clip for yourself below. Affleck's brushing off of the bat-related question happens shortly after Jason Momoa adorably remarks about his desire to host an episode of Saturday Night Live.

Woof. Is it just me or does Affleck's body language and vocal inflections give you the impression that he does not want to answer another damned question about his future as the Caped Crusader? It's quite remarkable really, I don't know if I've ever heard an actor sound so unenthusiastic when talking about being the Bat. "I don't know about that, we'll see what the future holds," Affleck stated. Yeah, I suppose we will.

It goes without saying that Affleck will inevitably exit the superhero role at some point, but will this happen soon rather than later? Could it be that JUSTICE LEAGUE will serve as Ben's last time in the pointy-eared suit? Only time will tell, but if Affleck's face in this interview tells us anything, it's that he's got the brooding aspect of the Dark Night down pat.

JUSTICE LEAGUE is set to arrive in theaters on November 17th.
