UPDATED: Check out three new images from Edgar Wright’s The World’s End with Simon Pegg and Nick Frost

UPDATED: Another new pic has surfaced, this one of Simon Pegg holding a map for the pub crawl.  Awesomeness below.

Y’know, we get all wrapped up in the big event pics coming down the pipe, like MAN OF STEEL or THE WOLVERINE or STAR WARS, etc., and sometimes forget about some of the more awesome projects that are also waiting in the wings.  Such is the case with Edgar Wright‘s THE WORLD’S END, the third chapter of the blood and ice cream trilogy, starring his usual compatriots Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, along with co-stars Martin “Bilbo” Freeman, Paddy Considine, Eddie Marsan, and the lovely Rosamund Pike.  But, make no mistake, fans of this group’s work, which includes the classics SHAUN OF THE DEAD and HOT FUZZ, won’t forget that this bad boy is on the way.

And to help that along, we’ve got two new images, courtesy of Empire, which give us another look at the film.  I won’t even attempt to dissect them, because the plot is cryptically awesome and you can only imagine what Wright has in store for us, as five friends go on a “pub crawl” visiting 12 pubs in one night, culminating at THE WORLD’S END. “When you’ve seen the film, you’ll be able to relate each pub name to what happens inside,” says Pegg.  Imagine the possibilities.  I’m a big fan of Wright and look forward to seeing this in a big way (not to mention seeing what he does with Marvel’s ANT-MAN).  I’d do a pub crawl with this group any day.

Here’s the pics:

THE WORLD’S END starts the crawl on October 25, 2013.
