Chocolate trailer

As a fan of Jackie Chan, Woo-Ping Yuen, the Shaw Brothers and all else Black Belt Theatre, I was delirious the first time I saw the Thai fighter ONG-BAK -- here was a whole new group of insane movie-making martial artists more than willing to experience severe bodily harm for my entertainment!

Star Tony Jaa and filmmaker Prachya Pinkaew left the exaggerated world of wire-fu behind for a "grounded" combat style, which seems to have carried over into Pinkaew's latest, CHOCOLATE. Jaa hasn't returned (he and the director are apparently on the outs, sadly), but he's been replaced by a more-than-qualified female lead named Nicharee “Jeeja” Vismistananda, who looks like she may have some actual personality to go with her loopy chopsockey skills.

Judging by the trailer (which even includes injurious outtakes), the movie involves an autistic girl with a fondness for chocolate and physical devastation. I don't really need more info than that...

Extra Tidbit: With the Jaa/Pinkaew relationship ended, the prospect of an ONG-BAK sequel seems unlikely.
