Disney Gone Wild! Here’s the first look at Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens and James Franco for Spring Breakers

Well, they aren’t getting hired for any kids shows as soon as Disney sees this.

This is your first look at Selena Gomez, Rachel Korine, Ashley Benson, Vanessa Hudgens and James Franco for SPRING BREAKERS. The photoshoot was for Interview magazine in association with some talk time with Harmony Korine (KIDS), who helmed and wrote the project.

SPRING BREAKERS centers on, “a quartet of college students who land in jail after robbing a restaurant to fund their spring break trip. The foursome is bailed out by Alien (Franco), a drug-dealer and gunrunner, who seduces the girls into his world. Drugs, sex, and violence ensue.”

All four girls wanted to break out of their shells and this was a film that would certainly help them. Gomez had this to say on choosing the project, “I was getting kind of repetitive in terms of the roles I was picking, and I really wanted to do something that was completely different. It was a mark thing for me—like, ‘This is what I want to be doing.’ I want to be taking myself seriously as an actress, and this was definitely a stretch. I mean, I’d never smoked a cigarette before in my entire life. It was really funny—they had to show me how to do it.”

The girls weren’t the only ones wanting to break free. Korine wanted it for them as well adds Benson (PRETTY LITTLE LIARS), “Harmony wanted to break us all out of the good-girl mold. For Selena, Vanessa, and me, our audience is all in their teens or younger, so they’re not even going to be able to see this when it comes out—it’s not appropriate.”
