Despite numerous set backs, Ezra Miller says that a standalone film revolving around DC's red-suited speedster, The Flash, is "absolutely confirmed." Miller said as much while speaking with W Korea, a lifestyle outlet that focuses on fashion, beauty, and the latest trends in self care.

When asked about what projects he has in the hopper, Miller told W Korea that he's juggling several commitments at this time.

"Well, I'll tell you the ones that I can tell you about, because they're absolutely confirmed," Miller said. "[They] are Fantastic Beasts 3… The Flash movie…" he revealed, adding "I'm making more music with Sons of an Illustrious Father, the band I'm in. And I'm also making some music on my own."

Whoa, whoa, whoa. Hold up! Ezra Miller is in a band? What manner of sorcery is this? Did any of you know this? And if so, why didn't you tell me? Let's check them out, shall we?

Wow! Okay, I did not see this coming. I always get a little nervous when I hear that actors are also part of a musical ensemble. I don't know why. It's worked out pretty well for stars like Keanu Reeves, Jack Black, Juliette Lewis, Marilyn Manson and Jeff Goldblum. Hmm, perhaps it's people like Jeremy Renner and Jared Leto that've got my guard up. Be that as it may, the above track by Sons of an Illustrious Father is quite good. Also, I really appreciate Ezra's flouncing and gyrating in the video. It really helps to being it all home, don't you think?

Anyway, back to the matter at hand …

The state of the DCEU has been a bit shaky as of late, regardless of the studio planning releases for WONDER WOMAN 1984 and BIRDS OF PREY (AND THE FANTABULOUS EMANCIPATION OF ONE HARLEY QUINN. Directionless is a word that you could use, but who's to say that DC and Warner Bros. aren't keeping hush until they're ready to reveal a solid slate of films for the next phase of their master plan?

In truth, THE FLASH project has had its share of troubles, what with rotating directors, creative team tag-outs, and script rewrites galore. At one time the film was slated for a 2020 release, though with so many aspects of the production being in flux, it could be that the film will be pushed into 2021 or beyond. Whatever the case may be, I hope that Team Flash can get their act together, and deliver us one hell of a ride, once all the pieces fall properly into place.

Are you still excited for the prospect of a standalone movie starring The Flash? Or do you think DC and Warner Bros. should focus their attentions elsewhere? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
