Terminator 6 set video offers new look at Arnold Schwarzenegger

In the other TERMINATOR movies, we’ve always seen Arnold Schwarzenegger cloaked in some heavy, black jacket and wielding some massive gun all while delivering kick-ass one-liners. Rarely then have we seen him so…domesticated. In a new behind the scenes video from the set of TERMINATOR 6, we get a new glimpse at a bearded Schwarzenegger and see he’s swapped out the tough look for a colorful button-up and stylish haircut. Oh, and look, he's got himself a dog!

The video was taken for the Hungarian National Film Fund where Schwarzenegger, director Tim Miller (DEADPOOL) and the late producer Andy Vajna talk about their experience shooting the movie in Budapest. While he was limited to playing just the T-800 machine in past movies, in the new film the star will also be playing the human basis for the machine, which would explain this new look. That or the T-800 was tired of “coming back” and decided to get a nice log cabin and some deck chairs and just relax.

On top seeing a new look at Arny we can also see perhaps the final footage of Vajna, who died earlier this week after battling an illness. The producer of FIRST BLOOD, TOTAL RECALL and DIE HARD 3 was 74. Then there are glimpses of Linda Hamilton’s Sarah Connor, who is returning to the series for the first time since TERMINATOR 2: JUDGEMENT DAY. She’s been seen looking all kinds of badass in past photos, including one Schwarzenegger posted back in September where he himself is looking all cut and bloodied.

Though there's not a ton to see, getting to look at Schwarzenegger and Hamilton on the set is getting me all kinds of pumped for the movie. I'm very curious to see how this movie acts as a direct sequel to TERMINATOR 2: JUDGEMENT DAY and also act as a series-concluding chapter, but ultimately, I just want to see these two performers back together.

Directed by Miller, produced by James Cameron and David Ellison and written by David S. Goyer, TERMINATOR 6 also stars Mackenzie Davis, Gabriel Luna, Natalia Reyes and Diego Boneta and is in theaters November 1.
