Jake Gyllenhaal needs to do his job before Hugh Jackman does it for him in the trailer for Prisoners

Everyone was rather intrigued by the first trailer for PRISONERS starring Hugh Jackman and Jake Gyllenhaal.

I think we got the general idea of what to expect from the movie, but just in case we have a second trailer to help us paint more of the picture. It’s very similar to what we already saw, however there is new footage here. It’s a little more heavy on Gyllenhaal’s character. The focus originally seemed to center on Jackman and his descent into becoming a vigilante. Here we get to see more of what Gyllenhaal is having to deal with, and he better do it fast.

Synopsis: Keller Dover is facing every parent’s worst nightmare. His 6-year-old daughter and her young friend are missing, and as minutes turn to hours, panic sets in. The only lead is a dilapidated RV that had been parked on their street. Heading the investigation, Detective Loki arrests its driver, but a lack of evidence forces the only suspect’s release. Knowing his child’s life is at stake, the frantic Dover decides he has no choice but to take matters into his own hands. The desperate father will do whatever it takes to find the girls, but in doing so, may lose himself, begging the question: When do you cross the line between seeking justice and becoming a vigilante?

Denis Villeneuve directed the screenplay written by Aaron Guzikowski(CONTRABAND). PRISONERS hits theaters on September 20, 2013.
