Despite her providing a strong, albeit limited, performance in Gareth Edwards' GODZILLA, Juliette Binoche excels when she's given a meaty, character-driven role that doesn't have her killed off in the first 15 minutes. That brings us to CLOUDS OF SILS MARIA. The story focuses on that of Maria Enders (Juliette Binoche), an aging actress who is asked to perform in a revival of the play that made her famous twenty years ago. The twist is that she'll be playing the role of a an older character who is seduced by the one she played in the past. As she discovers, the play becomes a shadowy reflection of her life and the women that are revolving around her. The international trailer hit last year and if you're willing to check out one with slightly less thong, we have the latest for you.

I know Binoche is going to deliver the goods, so I'm curious to see if Kristen Stewart and Chloe Moretz can stand toe-to-toe with her. CLOUDS isn't exactly the the type of film that's going to bring in the big box office numbers, especially considering the number of high-profile films being delivered this year, but it may prove to be a breath of fresh dramatic air in the wake of everything else.

CLOUDS OF SILS MARIA will see a limited release on April 10.
