Justice League Canada

Will the JUSTICE LEAGUE be the JUSTICE LEAF?

Australia has reportedly hosed the superhero gathering that so few fans even seem to want. The project, which for some reason is being referred to by the idiotic title JUSTICE LEAGUE MORTAL, got denied substantial tax incentives by the Down Under overlords for apparently not being Australian enough.

Since its announcement, the production has been crippled by the writer strike, location uncertainly, and a general lack of interest from the potential fanbase regarding the rumored/announced cast. But determined director George Miller is making alternate plans to pull up stakes and start over, likely in Canada.

Miller spilled his ire over the situation thusly: “It’s taken too long to make a decision and the film’s going overseas now, which is incredibly wasteful for the Australian film industry. That shows how rigid the thinking is here in Australia; that’s working to a paradigm that’s 30 years old and brought down the Australian film industry. That thinking dooms us to making small films that not even Australians want to see.” Yowch. Of course, aside from Megan Gale’s drooling followers, not many people down there probably wanted to see JUSTICE LEAGUE either…
