The Last Days of American Crime earns rare 0% on Rotten Tomatoes

The latest Netflix original film is earning bragging rights for all the wrong reasons. THE LAST DAYS OF AMERICAN CRIME, which recently hit the streaming service, has earned a very rare 0 percent approval rating from critics on Rotten Tomatoes.

The film is the first movie to accomplish this unpleasant and rare feat since both John Travolta's GOTTI and Amber Heard's LONDON FIELDS did it back in 2018. As of this writing, the film has 21 reviews counted on the site and not a single one is positive. The audience score, which can sometimes be more forgiving, is also dismal at 22 percent.

THE LAST DAYS OF AMERICAN CRIME is directed by Olivier Megaton and his biggest claim to fame on Rotten Tomatoes is 2008's TRANSPORTER 3 which sits at 39 percent. The 0 percent result for his latest film is probably not what Netflix was expecting when they signed on to produce an adaptation of the graphic novel of the same name by Rick Remender and Greg Tocchini. Karl Gajdusek took on screenwriting duties for the project.

Along with GOTTI and LONDON FIELDS, THE LAST DAYS OF AMERICAN CRIME joins other 0 percent classics like JAWS: THE REVENGE, MAC AND ME, HIGHLANDER 2: THE QUICKENING, the remake of CABIN FEVER, MAX STEEL & DARK CRIMES. This isn't the first Netflix original film to earn this distinction either. That honor goes to Adam Sandler's western/comedy THE RIDICULOUS 6 from back in 2015. There is some good news for THE LAST DAYS OF AMERICAN CRIME because the film did manage to become one of Netflix's top trending titles over the weekend.

THE LAST DAYS OF AMERICAN CRIME takes place in the not-too-distant future and, as a final response to terrorism and crime, the U.S, government plans to broadcast a signal making it impossible for anyone to knowingly commit unlawful acts. The film stars Edgar Ramirez, Michael C. Pitt, Anna Brewster. Neels Clasen and Tony Caprari.
