Logan Lerman is welcomed by Emma Watson in this clip for The Perks of Being a Wallflower

THE PERKS OF BEING A WALLFLOWER was a great coming of age book. I was pretty late to the party when it came to checking it out. One of my friends recommended it to me, and I decided to seek it out. What was great about it is that at 23 it affected me just as much as it would have in high school. Stephen Chbosky perfectly captures the awkwardness and the feeling of being the loner in a crowd of many. The main character, Charlie goes through a strange ride trying to find his place amongst many others who are just trying to do the same.

The first clip from the film shows Patrick (Ezra Miller) leading a toast with Sam (Emma Watson) by his side. What are they toasting? The coolness that is Charlie (Logan Lerman). From this one clip, I can already tell that he’s going to make a great Charlie. I just hope that they get the music, specifically for one part.

“A funny and touching coming-of-age story based on the beloved best-selling novel by Stephen Chbosky, THE PERKS OF BEING A WALLFLOWER is a modern classic that captures the dizzying highs and crushing lows of growing up. Starring Logan Lerman, Emma Watson and Ezra Miller, THE PERKS OF BEING A WALLFLOWER is a moving tale of love, loss, fear and hope—and the unforgettable friends that help us through life.”
