Inspired by true events, THE REVENANT is an immersive and visceral cinematic experience capturing an epic adventure of survival as legendary explorer Hugh Glass (Leonardo DiCaprio) navigates a vicious winter in a relentless pursuit to live and find redemption. Directed and co-written by Alejandro Iñárritu (BIRDMAN, BABEL), THE REVENANT features some of the best cinematography of the year and now there are 6 new images to prove it!
Word on the street is that this was no easy shoot, but the results speak for themselves. The lack of artificial lighting has made for some beautifully dark images that will really lend itself to this tale of survival. Between this and Quentin Tarantino‘s THE HATEFUL EIGHT, we’re going to have a hell of a Christmas this year!
THE REVENANT will open in limited theaters on December 25th, with a wide release on January 8th of 2016.
