Regina Hall, Issa Rae encounter big problems in the new Little trailer

A delightfully funny trailer for director Tina Gordon Chism's body-swapping comedy LITTLE has arrived online, which finds Regina Hall and Issa Rae experiencing a supernatural phenomenon akin to BIG meets FREAKY FRIDAY meets 13 GOING ON 30, but in reverse! In the film helmed and co-written by Chism, a bitter, power-hungry woman by the name of Jordan Sanders (Regina Hall) is hexed by a little girl, which then gives Jordan the chance to relive the life of her younger self (as played by Marsai Martin of BLACK-ish fame), at a point in her life when the pressures of adulthood become too much for her to bear. Helping her throughout the ordeal is April (Issa Rae), Jordan's no nonsense assistant, who finds herself looking after her pint-sized boss until the mysterious spell has worn off.

Chism wrote LITTLE with the help of screenwriter Tracy Oliver, who after the success of GIRLS TRIP (which Oliver co-wrote with Kenya Barris), began work on a TV adaptation of THE FIRST WIVES CLUB, as well as an adaptation of the YA author Nicole Yoon's novel The Sun Is Also a Star with GROWN-ISH's Yara Shahhidi. Oliver also has a remake of CLUELESS on the way, making her a very busy woman in Hollywood indeed.

Will Packer, James Lopez, and Kenya Barris will produce LITTLE, which aims to tell a comedic cautionary tale of what happens when adults lose sight of the values they once had as optimistic children, growing up in a world that threatens to devour them with responsibilities, heartbreak, and an endless onslaught of compromise.

LITTLE will hopefully make a big splash when it arrives in theaters on April 12, 2019.
