Take a deep breath and watch this awesome clip from Alfonso Cuaron’s Gravity with George Clooney and Sandra Bullock

Director Alfonso Cuaron is set to make waves again with his latest film, GRAVITY, starring George Clooney and Sandra Bullock, who play two astronauts that struggle to survive and make it back to Earth after their space shuttle is hit with debris, stranding them in space. This clip is a condensed version of what was shown at Comic Con that literally made love to my eyeballs. The visuals are breathtaking and I won't be surprised if we hear reports of people having panic attacks in the theater when this hits theaters. Cuaron built special camera rigs for the film that assisted him in getting more of his traditional long-take shots and the results are nothing short of amazing.

Even in its condensed form this is still a visual feast. The longer cut clip lasted about five minutes and built to a crescendo of destruction that just blew me away. Cuaron said during the Visionaries panel that the film won't feature any loud, booming explosions as they aren't possible in space as it is. The effect of seeing an explosion without hearing it is more effective than you'd imagine and I think this will be every bit as groundbreaking as Cuaron's CHILDREN OF MEN.

GRAVITY is set to head into orbit on October 4, 2013.
