Tarantino loves Supes?

Quentin Tarantino gave an interview to the New York Times in advance of his INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS debut in Cannes and in between calling his latest film a “masterpiece” and posing for photos in high heels, he took time out to lavish praise on Superman. Quentin was asked who won Best Director at Cannes when he was the jury head said it was Bryan Singer for SUPERMAN RETURNS. He said that he’s a “big fan” of the much maligned 2004 flick and to prove it, he’s working on a review that’s as epic as the film itself.

As if he doesn’t already have enough to do, Tarantino said he’s working on a review of the film that currently checks in at a whopping 20 pages. And he adds, “I’m not done yet.” (Oddly enough, the film barely moved me enough to write a 900-word review.) No word on where or if this massive dissertation will ever be published but if Quentin’s got such adoration, isn’t it high time he tried the superhero genre himself?
