Trouble At Hogwarts

It’s always sobering news when someone gets hurt on a movie set, and unfortunately, the latest case of a stunt gone awry, happened on the set of HARRY POTTER AND THE HALF-BLOOD PRINCE. Daniel Radcliffe’s stunt double suffered a serious injury while rehearsing a flying sequence using a harness, when he was sent plummeting by the blast, which was part of the stunt. Upon impact he told his worried colleagues that he couldn’t feel his legs and was rushed to a nearby hospital.

We all love movies because they’re supposed to make the problems in life go away (but not acne, apparently) for a little while, and the making of movies especially, is supposed to be a joyous collaborative effort in which big ideas and passion combine to make something truly unique. We often forget how much is at risk when making a film of this nature, especially for the stunt people, so we here at Joblo send our thoughts and prayers to the unidentified stuntman and wish him a speedy recovery.
