New 60-second spot for Warm Bodies starring Nicholas Hoult and Teresa Palmer

I’ve heard some people liken WARM BODIES to a “zombie TWILIGHT,” but I hate to break it to them.  Zombie TWILIGHT IS TWILIGHT.  WARM BODIES, on the other hand, tells a better story in this 60-second spot than the former film’s did in five movies.  With hints of ZOMBIELAND-style humor and a “Beauty-and-the-zombie” core, WARM BODIES looks like one of the most fun and original romcom/action/romance films to come along in a good while.

The pic stars Nicholas Hoult (the upcoming JACK THE GIANT SLAYER), Teresa Palmer (I AM NUMBER FOUR), Rob Corddry, and John Malkovich and is based on the novel by Isaac Marion.

Here’s the undead spot:

I don’t know, man, this looks pretty solid to me and I’m not easily swayed on the romcom genre.  Like, at all.  This just looks like a fun, funny, and clever concept.  WARM BODIES is directed by Jonathan Levine, who last brought us 50/50, which gives him some clout in terms of delivering a well-rounded film.  I’m optimistic with this one.

WARM BODIES is set to romance the undead on February 1, 2013.
