“Doctah Jone! Doctah Jone! Why you no like new format?” Had Short Round not been abandoned by Indiana during some undisclosed previous adventure, he’d no doubt ask that question about this new announcement.

In one of the more disappointing and egregious examples of cash-in synergy, Paramount is re-issuing the INDIANA JONES trilogy on DVD this May 13, the week before our tech-relic hero returns in INDIANA JONES AND THE KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL. But if you’re one of the many who enjoys the benefits of hi-definition viewing, you’re outta luck — the part-time professor is only coming to standard DVD, but no Blu-ray in sight (which would be in accord with our recent report that the new movie will forgo digital theaters).

On May 13th, Paramount Home Entertainment will release all new Special Editions of the classic action-adventures INDIANA JONES on DVD! If you can’t wait to see Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, then these all new special edition DVDs will be the perfect way to get you ready to head into theaters! The greatest action-adventure hero of all time comes swinging into your home (with each film in the series available individually for the very first time on DVD!) with all new exclusive bonus features on Raiders of the Lost Ark, Temple of Doom, and Last Crusade! See these classics as you’ve never seen them before and delve deeper than ever into the making of these milestone films! It’s every fan’s dream as these new special editions arrive in stores just days before Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull hits theaters! Grab your hat and your whip and get ready as ALL NEW SPECIAL EDITIONS of INDIANA JONES come to DVD on May 13, 2008!
