We've been waiting years for a new Pee-wee Herman flick to happen and for whatever reason the ball couldn't get rolling. Then earlier this year Judd Apatow made promises that news was coming soon, and then nothing. A few months ago Reubens confided that they were very close to an announcement, and I'm happy to report that it looks like he was telling the truth! The newest Pee-wee Herman film will be heading straight to Netflix!

Netflix has been killing it with their original programming and it looks like they'll have some more content to add to their already stellar line-up! Written by Paul Reubens and Paul Rust (Arrested Development), the feature will star Reubens in the titular role with Judd Apatow producing. As of now the plot is under wraps but Reubens is looking to have a director announced shortly and start productions in early 2015. Just get it done, Pee-wee!

Paul Reubens could always stick to voicing trailers if the movie doesn't pan out.
