What the hell does Richard Gere want?
Usually he’s a fairly mild-mannered guy, but, from time to time, he has the capacity to secretly be a prick and that’s what THE BENEFACTOR looks to be going for.
With a lot of money at his disposal and a secret past, Gere is pushing the buttons of a recently married couple (Dakota Fanning and Theo James) that he has some sort of connection with for reasons right now unbeknownst to us. But what’s his end game? What does he hope will happen as a result? There are always strings attached to this type of arrangement when a rich dude is helping like this, so, with any luck, unraveling that mystery could be an interesting watch… or it might not be. Take a look and see if this does anything for you.
THE BENEFACTOR gets a day-and-date release in theaters and on VOD on January 15, 2016.
