MTV Scream S3 adds Scream Queens star Keke Palmer

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

I make it no secret that I watched the hell out of both seasons of MTV's SCREAM and both seasons of Ryan Murphy's slasher-comedy throwback SCREAM QUEENS. It is with this in mind we bring you the news the two shows will now have a connecting link with a former star of the recently canceled series.

Keke Palmer, who starred in FOX' SCREAM QUEENS as ZayDay Williams, has just been announced as one of several new cast members added to MTV and Queen Latifah's reboot of SCREAM.

Palmer will be joined by RJ Cyler (I'm Dying Up Here), Giorgia Whigham (13 Reasons Why), Jessica Sula (Recovery Road, Skins) and Gillian Yao Gioiello (Julie's Greenroom). Below you can find full character rundowns on all of the new characters, plus the already announced cast of Tyga and C.J. Wallace.

Keke Palmer as Kym: A bold and beautiful social activist with a big heart and zero patience for suffering fools. When Kym and her friends find themselves hunted by a killer, she works to flip the script and survive at any cost.

RJ Cyler as Deion: The main character who hopes to secure a college football scholarship that will take him far away from Atlanta, a plan that seems destined to fail when he becomes the target of a masked killer with ties to his past.

Giorgia Whigham as Beth: The resident goth girl and a local tattoo artist. As an unapologetic fan of horror films, Beth is outspoken about her encyclopedic knowledge of movie murder — which is sure to come in handy with a killer on the loose.

Jessica Sula as Liv: The new girl at school. As a member of the cheer squad and an honor roll student, she seems to have a good head on her shoulders and an ideal life. But as she and Deion grow closer amid the murder and mayhem, it soon becomes clear that she has just as many secrets as everyone.

Giullian Yao Gioiello as Manny: An openly gay and loyal kid who is often the smartest person in the room. But his wits are put to the test when he suddenly finds himself in the crosshairs of a killer — which makes his simple goal of surviving high school and moving on with his life seem impossible.

Tyga as Jamal: Deion’s stepbrother, who despite hanging out with a rough crowd, he’s got a big heart and an undying loyalty to Deion.

C.J. Wallace as Amir: A good kid whose strict parents expect him to keep clean during high school, stay away from girls and ultimately find his place within the family business. Amir is a socially awkward savant who dreams of making music one day, an ambition he must stifle and keep to himself. But when events make him the unexpected target of a killer, Amir finds himself in over his head and his world view challenged. Facing death makes Amir reconsider what he wants for his life and the lengths he's willing to go to find his identity and chase his dreams — should he survive.
