Slayers Interviews: Thomas Jane and Malin Akerman

I was lucky enough to chat with both Thomas Jane and Malin Akerman about their upcoming Vampire comedy, Slayers. In this day and age, vampire stories have been told time and time again and rarely do they have any kind of originality. Thankfully, Slayers has a new take on them that makes the rules around them much more interesting. Then there’s Thomas Jane’s Elliot Jones character who may just be my favorite vampire hunter of the last decade and we’ve got the recipe for a fun time at the movies. So join me for my fun conversation with the two actors where we dive into the film.

Slayers synopsis: Kick-butt vampire slayer, Elliot Jones, has one mission to find the vampire who murdered his teenage daughter… but he’ll need the help of social media superstars -The Stream Team. Upon accepting an opportunity to meet reclusive billionaire Beverly Rektor, they discover she’s a descendant of a long line of vicious vamps. Jones is their only hope of survival and tonight he’ll have his revenge.

Slayers is an independent horror/comedy directed by K. Asher Levin with a story by K. Asher Levin. Written by K. Asher Levin and Zack Imbrogno. Starring Thomas Jane, Kara Hayward, Jack Donnelly, Lydia Hearst, Malin Akerman and Abigail Breslin.

While one of our critics wasn’t quite as big of a fan (check out review here) I really enjoyed my time with Slayers. Here’s hoping you do too.

Check out Slayers IN THEATERS and ON DIGITAL on OCTOBER 21ST, 2022.
