Spider-Man: No Way Home pre-sales breaking records overseas

Spider-Man: No Way Home pre-sales indicate that it’s going to have a HUGE opening domestically but overseas business is also important and it appears that the Marvel film is breaking records internationally as well.

Spider-Man: No Way Home begins its offshore rollout on December 15, 2021, and, according to “Deadline“, the film is setting all-time records in multiple overseas markets for the first 24 hours and even caused some ticketing websites to crash. In Mexico, the film has already taken in $7 million in pre-sales during its first 24 hours and that’s a new milestone that comes in 40% above what Avengers: Endgame did in the market. Other overseas areas to score the best-ever pre-sales in the first 24 hours include the UK, Spain, Brazil, and Central America. In fact, the UK, at 12 days out from the film’s release, was seeing advance sales at three times those of No Time To Die at the same point.

As previously reported, No Way Home broke first-day pre-sales records in the States for both the No. 1 and No. 3 theaters, AMC and Cinemark, and also netted their second-best day of pre-sales after Endgame. Needless to say, Spider-Man: No Way Home is about to be huge and is very well in line to be a true return to form for moviegoing during the pandemic.

Spider-Man: No Way Home brings back Tom Holland as Peter Parker aka Spider-Man and he will be joined by Zendaya, Benedict Cumberbatch, Alfred Molina, Jamie Foxx, Jacob Batalon, Marisa Tomei, and J.B. Smoove. The third film will once again be directed by Jon Watts, from a screenplay by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers. Oh, and then there are those unconfirmed but likely to be true rumors that Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield are returning as their respective versions of Spider-Man. This speculation alone is probably driving most of the ticket sales.
