Take a bite out of this new image from Amazon’s Zombieland

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

I’ll just be honest. I haven’t been too excited about Amazon’s “Zombieland”, a new pilot based on Ruben Fleischer’s film of the same name, thanks in part to the images released so far. Take the one above for example. I’m sure Kirk Ward is a fine actor, but I’m just not diggin’ his look for Tallahassee (I mean, c’mon! Where’s the hat? The bald head? The twinkies!). And the horrible poster the studio dropped on us last week didn’t help matters much. But I’ll try my best to remain optimistic until we get to see the pilot (whenever that may be).

Today we have a new image from “Zombieland”, this one featuring a zombiefied senior citizen who apparently forgot to use her Super Poligrip before attempting to devour some flesh, courtesy Entertainment Weekly.

Zombieland is based on the hit Columbia Pictures movie of the same name, and finds four survivors outwitting zombies and searching for a place to call home. The Zombieland pilot comes from the feature film’s original creative team, writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick (G.I. Joe: Retaliation, The Joe Schmo Show), and producer Gavin Polone (Gilmore Girls, Curb Your Enthusiasm). Eli Craig (Tucker and Dale vs. Evil) is directing the pilot.

Tallahassee is being played by Kirk Ward, Maiara Walsh is Wichita, Tyler Ross takes on the role of Columbus, and Izabela Vidovic is playing Little Rock.
