If you were feeling indifferent about TOMORROWLAND before, this is the trailer that Brad Bird fans have been waiting for. We've seen what kind of action Bird is capable of delivering in films like THE INCREDIBLES and MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE – GHOST PROTOCOL, and I'm happy to say that it looks like that streak will continue with TOMORROWLAND. In a smart move by Disney, the latest preview expands upon an action set-piece in which we see George Clooney's Frank Walker and Britt Robertson's Casey contend with inhuman foes. It feels like something out of a Pixar movie in the best way possible.

While I'm unsure of how the endgame for this story will play out, I am RELIEVED to finally see something from this movie that made me go, "I can't wait to see this in a theater!" Brad Bird is a name I've quickly come to respect and he absolutely killed it with his first live-action picture in MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE – GHOST PROTOCOL. The man knows how to deliver a fun action sequence that's actually discernible (imagine that). While I may have been sorry at one point that he passed up on STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS for this, both movies are looking great so far (one more so than the other), so I may be able to have my cake and eat it too. Besides, could we not line up Brad Bird for STAR WARS: EPISODE 9?

TOMORROWLAND hits theaters on May 22, 2015.
