The Black Phone: Jeremy Davies cast in Scott Derrickson’s new horror film

After stepping down from directing the Doctor Strange sequel, director Scott Derrickson has been recently tapped to direct Blumhouse's supernatural horror-thriller The Black Phone, based on Joe Hill’s short story.

And now, according to Deadline, eccentric character actor Jeremy Davies (Solaris) has now joined the cast in an unspecified role!

Here's the official synopsis:

A kidnapped kid. A creepy, soundproofed basement. An ancient, disconnected phone. Then, when night falls, the phone rings.

Meanwhile, no official release date as of yet, but we'll keep you updated! Personally, I was a huge fan of Derrickson's Doctor Strange film (some script issues aside), and so I'm looking forward to this one!
