Trailer for Disenchantment: Part 2 takes Princess Bean straight to Hell

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

It's been over a year since the debut of the first ten-episodes of Disenchantment, Matt Groening's follow-up series to The Simpsons and Futurama, and now Part 2 of the animated Netflix series is just weeks away! After a short teaser was released last week, Netflix has unveiled the full trailer for Disenchantment: Part 2 which finds Princess Bean (Abbi Jacobson) and personal demon Luci (Eric Andre) heading to Hell in order to rescue Elfo (Nat Faxon).

While I'd place Disenchantment below The Simpsons and Futurama in their prime, I have enjoyed what we've seen of the series so far. There's still more Disenchantment on the way as Netflix renewed the series for twenty additional episodes last year, which will roll out in 2020 and 2021.

The official synopsis for Disenchantment:

After tackling modern times with “The Simpsons” and the future with “Futurama,” producer Matt Groening steps into the past with “Disenchantment.” The animated fantasy series geared toward adults takes place in the crumbling medieval kingdom of Dreamland. It follows the misadventures of hard-drinking young princess Bean, her feisty elf companion Elfo and personal demon Luci. The oddball trio encounters the likes of ogres, sprites, imps, trolls and human fools along the way.

Disenchantment Part 2 will return to Netflix on September 20, 2019.
