Tye Sheridan fights to survive in new trailer for Quibi’s Wireless

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Whether you're down with Quibi or not, you've got to admit that the short-form streaming service is definitely trying something new. Quibi has dropped a new trailer for WIRELESS, a survival thriller that stars Tye Sheridan as Andy, a college student who finds himself wounded and alone after he crashes into a snowy ravine in the Colorado mountains. With his quickly dying cell-phone as his only means of rescue, Andy soon discovers that help is far from a phone call away. In addition to Sheridan, WIRELESS also stars Lukas Gage, Francesca Reale, Mace Coronel, Sydney Park, Andie MacDowell, and Eric Dane. The Steven Soderbergh produced thriller also features two narratives playing out simultaneously – one horizontally for a cinematic view and another vertically that allows you to experience Andy's phone as your own.

The official synopsis for WIRELESS:

On a sparsely traveled road deep in the Colorado mountains, college student Andy Braddock (Tye Sheridan) drives to a New Years Eve party to try to rekindle a relationship with his ex-girlfriend. Distracted by his phone, Andy collides with a snowbank and hurtles into a ravine. Wounded and alone, Andy turns to his quickly dying cell for rescue, but help is far from a phone call away… From executive producer Steven Soderbergh comes a survival thriller like no other, as the viewer takes the story into their own hands. Two narratives play out simultaneously: watch horizontally for a cinematic view; twist vertically to experience Andy's phone as your own, as he fights to stay alive. An immersive experience awaits, powered by Quibi.

WIRELESS will premiere on Quibi on September 14th.
