Want to spend a little time with Chucky during quarantine? Well grab a copy of the original CHILD'S PLAY and get ready to enjoy an online watch party of the horror classic with its creator, Don Mancini.

The event happens tomorrow, May 21, 2020, at 8/7c in partnership with Syfy Wire. Mancini and Syfy both took to Twitter to make the official announcement:

CHILD'S PLAY has been one of the most enduring franchises of the horror genre since it made its debut back in 1988. With seven movies and a reboot under its belt, it all began with a murderer named Charles Lee Ray (Brad Dourif) who is dying after being gunned down by a police officer. He then uses black magic to put his soul inside a Good Guy doll named Chucky and the item is purchased by an unsuspecting single mother named Karen Barclay (Catherine Hicks) for her young son, Andy (Alex Vincent). Soon Andy realizes Chucky is alive but no one believes him and he better convince them fast because Chucky is looking to transfer his soul out of the doll and into Andy's body.

CHILD'S PLAY was a surprise hit in 1988, grossing $33.2 million on a $9 million budget which led to the sequels that began with 1990's CHILD'S PLAY 2 and 1991's CHILD'S PLAY 3. After taking a bit of a break, the franchise returned 1998's BRIDE OF CHUCKY which introduced us to Jennifer Tilly as Tiffany. SEED OF CHUCKY followed in 2004, which brought back Don Mancini at the helm, a post he continued to have for 2013's CURSE OF CHUCKY and 2017's CULT OF CHUCKY. Last year's reboot, directed by Lars Klevberg, had no involvement from franchise creator, Mancini. Don Mancini is currently working on a TV series that will take place in the same continuity as the original movies, simply titled Chucky. Syfy picked up the show to series earlier this year.
