The dudes at DreadCentral hit us up today with some news concerning everybody’s fave guy to piss off David Letterman, Crispin Glover! For those wondering what Crispin is up to these days, the man’s been working on his much-touted directorial debut WHAT IS IT?, which has a small run in LA December 8th to the 10th at the American Cinematheque.
In an interview with DC, Crispin went into detail about the film, which was made to counter the corporate-run system of cinema, according to Crispin. “It was important for me to make the film entirely with actors with Down Syndrome and have them play normal characters.”
Elsewhere, Crispin stated that WHAT IS IT? would be the start of a trilogy for him, which also involves a trip to Sundance. “This is the first in a trilogy. The second film, IT IS FINE. EVERYTHING IS FINE! was co-written by Steven C. Stewart (co-star of WHAT IS IT?) and is based on his life. It’s going to be the best and most emotional film in the trilogy. That was recently completed and will be having its premiere at Sundance in January.”
