Winter Wood first look

Today, Fango got the first pics from Sean-Michael Argo’s new thrill-chill-kill entitled WINTER WOOD. Currently shooting in Arkansas under the eye of James Cotten (who also directed Roger Corman’s DEMON SLAYER and wrote the screenplay with Jason White for SCARECROW), the film has two grad students traveling to a rural town in search of information on Eli the Sin Eater, an Ozark folk myth (played by Joshua Payne). Eventually, the students are able to find a local guide to help them and begin their journey through Winter Wood. As the sun sets, their adventure becomes a fight for survival as the myth of the Sin Eater becomes an all-too-real tale of violence and backwoods terror. Think DELIVERANCE but without the sodomy.
