Even though magic and/or illusion themed films are so last year, the upcoming DEATH DEFYING ACTS still hopes to wow us with its sleight of hand. The film stars Guy Pearce as Harry Houdini as he passes through Britain and becomes entangled in an affair with a smoking hot but apparently morally bankrupt psychic (Catherine Zeta Jones) who hopes to pull a disappearing act with Houdini's fortune. And possibly sanity. The first trailer recently escaped onto the internets via the YouTubes so just dip that head below to see it. It's set for release March 13th. In Australia. In the US? Who knows. But as soon as we do, we'll let you know.
Extra Tidbit:ACTS director Gillian Armstrong also directed LITTLE WOMEN and OSCAR AND LUCINDA.
I'll see it for "The Man" Guy. Seeing him get nekkid is pretty hot, too. :)
The trailer itself doesn't make the movie all that appealing, but I don't care. I'll go.
