Hellboy vs. Dracula?

Lovably plump hirsute filmmaking genius Guillermo Del Toro has been jonesing to import Universal Studios’ classic monsters – Dracula, Frankenstein, Wolfman and The Mummy – into the HELLBOY mythology for quite a while now and should THE GOLDEN ARMY prove successful, he might just get his wish. The folks over at IESB recently spoke with Dark Horse Entertainment (Hellboy comic publisher) owner Mike Richardson and he had this to say on the subject: “There might be something going on but I don’t think that I can talk about it…there might be something that is being discussed.” Ooh, way to be tantalizingly vague there, Richardson. In the meantime, we’ll just have to settle for Hellboy, conflagration prone Liz Sherman and disturbingly intellectual amphibian Abe Sapien battle a mythical creature uprising in the aforementioned THE GOLDEN ARMY, which opens July 11th of next year.
