What started as a pretty epic horror/comedy has turned into something I can just shake my head in shame at. I’m of course talking about the SCARY MOVIE franchise. And unfortunately that means I’m here today with another piece of SCARY MOVIE 5 news for you guys.
Whether we want it or not, it’s coming. So we might as well stay informed right? According to the guys over at Bloody-Disgusting SCARY MOVIE alumn Craig Bierko will be returning to the franchise in SCARY MOVIE 5. Actually an “offer has been made” but let’s be honest – of course he’s going to take it. What else does Bierko (right) have to do?
SCARY MOVIE 5 will involve the dance world, with a snooty, aloof, imperious, and oversexed French director of a dance company named Pierre putting on a huge production. Jody, a Caucasian late-20’s mother of two and her late-20’s African American friend Kendra are both vying for the lead in the production. Jody’s extremely controlling former dancer mother is determined that Jody will have the brilliant career that eluded her. The highly skilled mid-30’s Diva veteran dancer with the company, Heather Daltry, gets cut from the production and goes berserk.
The film is said to spoof flicks like BLACK SWAN, PARANORMAL ACTIVITY, RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES and 127 HOURS.
Malcolm Lee will be directing a cast that includes Bierko, Ashley Tisdale and Erica Ash when SCARY MOVIE 5 hits theaters on January 11, 2013.
