Behold the lame trailer for Bryan Singer’s Jack The Giant Killer

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

It’s been a trailer fest the last few days, and the party continues with Bryan Singer’s JACK THE GIANT KILLER. It’s been almost six months since last writing about the film, so it’s good to finally see some footage from the darkly told fairytale. Unfortunately, this sucker looks like it’s for six year olds.

No lie. In the trailer you’ll see a bunch of stuffy CGI, including the storied beanstalk we all learned about growing up (get it, growing up…) I personally questioned why we chose to cover this film in the first place, and now after seeing the teaser, we may have to jump ship altogether. That is of course, unless you want us to keep on climbing the stalk. Let us know.

Featuring Ewan McGregor, Ian McShane, Stanley Tucci, Bill Nighy and Nicholas Hoult, John Kassir, Caroline Hayes, Eleanor Tomlinson, Christopher Villiers and Lee Boardman – JACK THE GIANT KILLER is a modern day fairy tale in which the long-standing peace between men and giants is threatened, as a young farmer leads an expedition into the giants’ kingdom in hopes of rescuing a kidnapped princess.

JACK THE GIANT KILLER is due June 15th.
